| Flu season is
here . . . and flu shots may not be the answer!
There are
several reasons you and your patients may want to consider
a natural alternative to flu shots:
First,
influenza viruses can easily mutate. The viruses spread so easily that 30 to 60
million Americans catch it each year and some 36,000 die. The
reason is simple. The immune
system has no defense to a specific virus or viruses which
have mutated and become more virulent then earlier strains for
which they have been immunized. This
is one reason many individuals who receive flu shots still
contract the flu!
Second, Flu shots may actually be worthless! The
Centers for
Disease Control (CDC) is currently looking at whether or
not flu vaccines are even effective.
Roche, the
maker of the anti-flu (swine flu) drug Tamiflu®,
claimed that it dramatically reduced hospital admissions as
well as bronchitis and pneumonia. But an investigation by the
British Medical Journal concluded such claims were merit less. Dr. Sidney Wolfe of Public Citizen Health Group
stated “Tamiflu is being erroneously peddled as a panacea to
flu when, in fact, no research exists to support this claim.”
There was also concern about under reporting of side effects
of the drug. (Note: All of the
clinical research conducted to determine the effectiveness of
Tamiflu®
on healthy adults was funded by Roche, the drug's
manufacturer.)
Furthermore, a study
conducted by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious
Diseases found no correlation between increasing vaccination
rates after 1980 and declining death rates in any age group.
(As published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, volume
165, pages 265-272, 2005)
Third,
the procedure for developing
a new flu vaccine is based upon guess-work. Every year,
the FDA attempts to determine in advance which strain of
influenza is most likely to afflict the United States, and
then recommends the particular vaccine likely to be most
effective in combating that strain. No one knows exactly how
many flu viruses exist due to their ability to mutate rapidly.
Example:
In
March of 2003 the FDA guessed wrong! It decided not
to recom- mend development of a vaccine against the Fujian
strain of influenza. By December, the Fujian strain accounted
for 75 percent of the influenza cases in the U.S. Fortunately,
it proved to be less deadly than most mutations. An estimated
38,000 Americans died and 114,000 were hospitalized. It could
have been much worse!
Fourth, flu shots are normally given in group settings and a crowd is absolutely the
last place you want to be. Yet long lines form wherever flu shots are offered! Unfortunately, this frenzied
"lemming-like" fear - especially on the part of our senior
population - is merely exacerbating the problem. Influenza viruses are spread
by close exposure to individuals who may already have
contracted the disease as flu viruses have incubation periods
of 24 to 72 hours.
The phyto-chemical
anti-viral compounds found in medicinal herbs may be your best
hope for confronting drug-resistant flu viruses.
Unlike
synthetic vaccines, certain herbs have been shown to boost the
body's production of antibodies for which viruses cannot
develop immunity. It is easy for a rapidly reproducing virus
species to out-evolve single synthetic compounds by learning
to break it down or even use it in its own metabolism, but not
so easy for it to out-evolve the complex compounds found in
specific herbs.
Factor Twelve: Opti-cillin
is a synergistic formulation of potent extracts of non-toxic
medicinal herbs exhibiting both antibiotic and antiviral
properties. Viruses are parasitic and can only survive and
duplicate inside a host cell. The com-pounds in
Factor Twelve:
Opti-cillin enhance the body's immune response and its
ability to encapsulate and digest viruses before they can
integrate into living cells and replicate themselves.
A 60 capsule vial of Factor
Twelve: Opti-cillin may prove the most cost efficient and
effective protocol you and your patients can take
this flu season.
Recommended Protocol for Coping with the
Risk and Severity of Influenza.
Titan Laboratories, with the
input and assistance of the health practitioners it serves
nationwide, has developed the following protocol to support
the patients' immune system coping mechanisms during the
influenza season:
(1) As a preventative
measure during flu season, prescribe 2 capsules
daily of
Factor Twelve: Opti-cillin and 2 tablets daily of
Factor One: Bio-Immunizer, which contains immune
stimulating nutrients, to boost the body's immunity system.
(Each vial constitutes a 30 day supply).
(2) At first signs of
flu or cold symptoms, in either the patient or individuals
he or she has come in contact with, prescribe the therapeutic
dose of 3 capsules twice daily of
Factor Twelve: Opti-cillin until the vial is exhausted.
(10 days). Continue to take 2 tablets daily
of
Factor One: Bio-Immunizer.
