Hormone Replacement Therapy -
More Harm than Good |
 |
|
|
Titan's Factor Ten: Femtrac brochure (copyright 2001) states, "The current
fad of prescribing synthetic estrogens and progestins onto menopausal women
may prove to be the biggest medical blunder of the millennium."
A landmark federally funded scientific study by the Women's Health
Initiative released July 9, 2002, found that hormones increased the risk
for breast cancer so substantially that the study was halted three years
ahead of schedule! In addition, women on the treatment suffered more heart
attacks, more strokes and more life-threatening blood clots than those given
a placebo.
A week after the results of the above study was published, a separate study
sponsored by the National Institutes of Health concluded that taking
estrogen alone increased the chances of ovarian cancer.
Factor Ten: Femtrac
is a synergistically balanced formulation of phytoestrogens and other
dietary nutrients which promotes the female body's ability to ameliorate hot
flashes, night sweats, and related menopausal symptoms. Phyto-estrogens
(plant estrogen) mimic mammalian reproductive hormones and may decrease the
risk of uterus and breast cancers. (Consult
Factor Ten Research Report.)
The simple truth is menopause is merely a stage
of life, not a disease. During menopause the hormonal output of both
estrogen and progesterone alternately stop and start instead of reducing
gradually. It is this readjusting of the patients endocrine balance which
leads to many of menopause's symptoms.
Factor Ten: Femtrac provides the phyto-estrogens and nutrients
that complement the rhythmic patterns of change a woman's system follows
throughout her life.
Factor Ten: Femtrac is
packaged in a
60 capsule vial which includes a research report and patient brochure.
This product is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Follow the directives in the research
report for weaning the patient off of synthetic hormones which have been
shown to be addictive in many women.

Mislead by the
Pharmaceutical Industry!
|
 |
|
|
The history of hormone therapy begins with Dr. Robert Wilson. In the 1960's,
Dr. Wilson promoted estrogen as the older woman's salvation in his
block-buster book on menopause titled, "Feminine Forever." This book
promoted menopause as an illness and estrogen as the cure. The doctor's book
and speeches put hormones on the map and in the medicine cabinet. As a
result, an estimated 40 percent of women now use synthetic hormones.
??? Oh, did we forget to mention that Dr.
Wilson's efforts were funded by Wyeth, the pharmaceutical company
that made the hormone drugs???
For years the medical profession touted
that osteoporosis was an estrogen deficiency disease in women. This
is pure bunk promulgated by the pharmaceutical industry! It is excess
protein in the form of meat and dairy products that contribute the most to
bone loss. An acidic condition is created in the blood which causes the body
to pull out calcium from the bones to neutralize it. (See the June issue of
Titan's Spinal Column newsletter regarding
pH
Imbalance for more information.)

Where's the beef?
19 Million Pounds Recalled!
|
 |
|
|
|
Here we go again! On July 19th, at the request of the Department of
Agriculture, ConAgra Beef Co. recalled almost 19 million
pounds of ground beef. The germ that sparked the recall was E. coli
0157:H7 which produces a powerful toxin that can cause bloody diarrhea,
abdominal cramps and death. Infected animals can spread the bacteria through
their feces, which can wind up on beef during the butchering process.
We warned you!
In Titan's June newsletter
(The
Jungle Revisited) we alerted our subscribers to the filthy
conditions in today's meat packing plants. We quoted a 1996 USDA study that
stated 78.6% of all inspected ground beef was found to contain fecal matter!
Again, in our
July newsletter we pointed out that the government was allowing
meat packing plants to sell "sick and down cows" for meat! Under these
conditions, it was only a matter of time before a major outbreak of
contaminated meat made its way to the public.
According to USDA Secretary Ann Veneman,
"This action (the recall) is being taken as a precautionary measure.
The U.S. has one of the safest food supplies anywhere in the world."
??? Oh, did we mention it took the USDA
nearly 3 months before it issued its precautionary recall of this
potentially toxic beef???

Vaccine tests
aimed
at fighting deadly diarrhea
|
 |
|
|
|
Drug giants Merck & Co. and GlaxoSmithKline are now testing
two experimental rotavirus vaccines in hopes of stopping a type of diarrhea
that kills more than 600,000 young children worldwide each year. The virus
is primarily passed by fecal matter to the mouth. Transmission usually
occurs by touching contaminated food or surfaces and then ingesting the
virus.
Do any of you health professionals see a
possible link between this piece of news and the preceding article?
Did we mention that the first rotavirus
vaccine was pulled off the market in 1999 after a life threatening side
effect struck some U.S. babies?
The two "new and hopefully improved"
rotavirus vaccines are currently being tested on candidates in a total of 12
countries including U.S. babies.
If the American people -
and the health professionals who serve them - would phone,
write, or e
mail their congressmen and shout, "We're sick and tired of having our health
compromised by the agri-business industry and we're not going to take it
anymore", then perhaps we wouldn't need expensive drugs to protect us
against fece ridden beef!
In the interim, upon the first sign of
food poisoning in your patients (diarrhea, stomach ache, cramps, nausea), it
is suggested you prescribe
Factor Twelve:
Opti-cillin, Titan's herbal antibiotic. It is safe for both
children and the elderly. This product is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
